A modern approach to dental and overall health
BIO DENTAL
At Dentas, we believe that dental treatment should not be separated from the rest of the body. Biological dentistry is a holistic, integrated approach that uses non-toxic, biocompatible materials and minimally invasive methods to preserve overall health. Our treatments focus on maintaining the body’s balance, addressing the underlying causes of disease and ensuring long-term oral health.
What makes us different?
For every patient, we consider the connection between oral and overall health. We use only materials that are biologically compatible with the body. Every initial examination includes a detailed assessment of the oral cavity, X-ray imaging, intraoral scanning and laboratory measurements of vitamin D3 levels and the Omega-3 index. The results are assessed individually, after which we develop a personalised treatment plan that often involves an interdisciplinary approach.
SAFE AMALGAM REMOVAL
At Dentas, we remove amalgam fillings according to the highest biological standards. Amalgam, which contains mercury, can release toxic vapours that may place a long-term burden on the body.
During amalgam removal, we follow a special protocol that includes protective barriers in the oral cavity, a supply of clean air, gold masks for patients, a highly efficient suction system (IQAir Dental Hg) and carbide burs that minimise heat generation.
The procedure is completely safe and painless. Our goal is to prevent mercury absorption into the body and provide a clean, healthy foundation for future fillings or prosthetic solutions.
REMOVAL OF INFLAMMATORY FOCI
Chronic areas of inflammation in the oral cavity may be present without any symptoms, yet still place a significant burden on the immune system. They are most commonly associated with non-vital teeth, inadequately treated tooth roots, bone inflammation following tooth extraction or periodontal inflammation.
At Dentas, we use advanced diagnostics (X-rays, CBCT) and clinical examinations to identify these areas of inflammation and then remove them using minimally invasive methods. The aim is to reduce the burden on the body, promote regeneration and improve the patient’s long-term health. Removing these inflammatory foci often also leads to improvements in systemic symptoms such as fatigue, headaches or autoimmune reactions.
X-RAY DIAGNOSTICS
Digital radiographic diagnostics are the foundation of precise treatment in biological dentistry. At Dentas, we use advanced Planmeca digital RVG systems that provide high-resolution images with minimal radiation exposure.
We perform targeted X-rays of individual teeth as well as panoramic dental X-rays (OPG). All images are stored digitally and are available for analysis, comparison and treatment planning. Although we currently do not perform 3D CBCT scans at our practice, we collaborate with specialised imaging centres that provide this service. Accurate diagnostics are essential for the early detection of pathological conditions, planning dental implant procedures, endodontic and surgical treatments, and monitoring treatment outcomes.
OZONE THERAPY
Ozone therapy is a natural, painless and highly effective method of disinfecting the oral cavity. Ozone eliminates harmful microorganisms – bacteria, viruses and fungi – even in the most difficult-to-reach areas.
At Dentas, we use ozone therapy to treat gum inflammation and periodontal pockets, during surgical procedures and following tooth extractions. In addition to destroying pathogens, ozone stimulates tissue activity and promotes regeneration, accelerating wound healing. It is also used when replacing fillings, naturally disinfecting the tooth before a new filling is placed. Ozone is completely safe and causes no side effects, making it an ideal complement to our biological approach to treatment.
LASER THERAPY
Laser therapy uses focused light at specific wavelengths to produce therapeutic effects on tissue. At Dentas, we use lasers to disinfect wounds and root canals, stimulate tissue regeneration, reshape gum tissue and perform clinical crown lengthening.
Laser treatments are minimally invasive, painless and promote faster regeneration. In addition to making procedures more precise, laser therapies significantly reduce postoperative discomfort. They are fully aligned with our biological philosophy, as they do not damage surrounding tissue or place an additional chemical burden on the body.
FIBRIN MEMBRANES AND STEM CELLS (PRF)
Following tooth extraction or dental implant placement, it is often necessary to replace lost tissue. At Dentas, we use the PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) method, which allows us to create natural membranes rich in platelets and white blood cells from the patient’s own blood.
These membranes promote the regeneration of soft and hard tissues by releasing growth factors such as VEGF, PDGF and TGF. The procedure is simple, takes approximately 15 minutes and is completely safe. PRF membranes are 100% biocompatible and contain no additives. We use them to protect extraction sites, support bone regeneration and accelerate healing after surgical procedures.
VITAMIN D3
Vitamin D3 plays a crucial role in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus – minerals essential for healthy teeth, bones and the immune system.
At Dentas, we measure vitamin D3 levels using a simple finger-prick blood test, with results available within 15 minutes. Vitamin D3 deficiency is associated with poorer implant integration, frequent gum inflammation and reduced tissue regeneration. As part of our biological treatment approach, we monitor vitamin D3 levels before major procedures such as dental implant placement, tooth extractions or surgery, and recommend supplements when necessary. Optimal vitamin D3 levels contribute to better healing, a stronger immune system and an overall sense of vitality. This is a simple yet extremely valuable measure that can have a long-term impact on treatment success.
OMEGA 3
Omega-3 fatty acids have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and are essential for periodontal health, bone health and overall well-being.
At Dentas, we analyse your Omega-3 index and the Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio using a small blood sample. Maintaining an optimal balance of these fatty acids is important for preventing chronic inflammation and promoting regeneration. People with low Omega-3 levels are often more prone to periodontal disease and slower wound healing. Based on the results, we may recommend dietary changes (increasing your intake of oily fish, seeds and nuts) or supplements containing EPA and DHA fatty acids. The analysis is quick, non-invasive and provides valuable insight into your overall health, which directly affects the success of dental procedures.
PERIODONTAL CARE
Periodontal tissues – the gums and supporting structures of the teeth – are often overlooked, even though they play a crucial role in maintaining the health of the entire oral cavity.
At Dentas, periodontal care is an essential part of our approach, as healthy periodontal tissues are a prerequisite for the long-term stability of teeth and dental implants. The first step is a professional assessment of the gums and periodontal pockets through probing and visual examination. In cases of mild inflammation, our dental hygienist provides treatment through deep cleaning and guidance on proper oral hygiene. For more severe forms of periodontitis, we involve specialists and additional biological methods, such as laser disinfection and ozone therapy. Periodontal care at Dentas is always personalised and tailored to the patient’s overall health, with the aim of preserving strong support for the teeth and preventing tooth loss.
INTRAORAL SCANNER
The TRIOS 5 intraoral scanner we use at Dentas enables digital scanning of the oral cavity without the need for uncomfortable traditional impressions. This highly accurate scanner creates a three-dimensional model in real time, offering several advantages: faster diagnostics, improved visualisation and higher hygiene standards.
Thanks to ScanAssist and TRIOS Share technologies, seamless data transfer and maximum scanning accuracy are ensured. Scanning is quick, painless and comfortable for patients, with results immediately available for planning prosthetic, orthodontic or implant treatments. Digital scanning is a standard feature of modern, biologically oriented dentistry.
POST-PROCEDURE SUPPORTIVE THERAPIES
After every surgical procedure, the body needs support to recover.
At Dentas, we offer a protocol that includes therapeutic cooling, photobiomodulation and recommendations for postoperative rest. Immediately after the procedure, we use the Hiloterm Clinic device to cool the treated area to 16–18°C, reducing swelling and accelerating regeneration. Patients continue the therapy at home using the same device, and three days after the procedure, photobiomodulation – a light-based therapy that further promotes healing – is introduced. We also advise patients to take at least two days off from their usual commitments to rest.
Combining this care with our biological approach significantly reduces the risk of complications and accelerates recovery.
